Flight Safety & Compliance
How we keep every flight safe, legal and respectful.
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Certified and insured
All commercial flights are flown under FAA Part 107 by a certified remote pilot, with drone liability insurance in place. Certificates of insurance are available on request for venues, builders and property managers.
Airspace
Before each job we check the location for controlled airspace, temporary flight restrictions and local rules. We request FAA authorization through LAANC where required, and we do not fly where authorization is not granted.
Pre-flight checks
- Site survey for obstacles, power lines, trees and people.
- Weather, wind and visibility check.
- Equipment, battery and firmware check.
- Clear takeoff and landing zone.
People and privacy
We follow FAA rules for operations over people and moving vehicles. We keep a safe distance from bystanders, ask that people and pets stay out of the flight path, and focus our cameras on the client's property or event.
Indoor FPV flights
Interior fly-throughs are flown with small, propeller-guarded drones at low speed, along a pre-planned path, with nobody in the flight path. The property owner's permission is required.
Right to refuse
The pilot may stop or decline any flight that is unsafe or not allowed — this is never negotiable.
